Why MNTN x mParticle

Mobile marketers lean on mParticle to bring their customer data together and shape it into audiences they can put to use. Those audiences help decide who their campaigns reach. TV has been the tough one to include. Using a mParticle audience for TV targeting has meant exporting the list and re-uploading it by hand, then doing it again every time the audience changes.

With mParticle and MNTN connected, that changes. The audiences built in mParticle flow into MNTN, ready to target and exclude across Performance TV campaigns. They refresh automatically every day, so the targeting keeps up without anyone managing a list.

Say Hello to mParticle

Overview

mParticle, now part of Rokt, is a customer data platform made for consumer brands that live and breathe their customer data. For over a decade, it's helped big marketing teams pull all their data into one place and shape it into audiences they can actually use, with real-time identity and a setup that marketers, not just engineers, can work in.

Once you connect it to MNTN, the audiences you've built in mParticle show up inside MNTN, ready to use for targeting and exclusions. It's a one-way sync you set up once. Your audiences flow in, and none of your MNTN campaign data flows back out.

How it works:

  1. In mParticle, set up an export that sends your audience segments to a cloud storage bucket (Google Cloud Storage).
  2. Grant MNTN read access to that bucket.
  3. In MNTN, open the Integrations page and select mParticle.
  4. Enter your bucket details to connect.
  5. Your audience segments import into MNTN and become available for campaign targeting and exclusions.
  6. MNTN checks for updates daily, so your audiences stay current automatically.

Features

  • Use the Audiences You Already Built: Put the segments you've already set up in mParticle to work, with no starting over for TV.
  • Set and Forget Syncing: Your audiences update themselves, so there's no exporting or re-uploading every time something changes.
  • First-Party Data on TV: Take the customer data you already own and actually use it in your TV targeting.
