The QuickFrame AI Beta Prompting Handbook

Your Marketing Team’s Creative Cheat Code

QuickFrame’s (QF) reputation as a leader in video ad production was built on the back of QF Marketplace, our all-in-one platform that connects brands with a vetted network of creative professionals (directors, animators, editors, you name it) who can produce any kind of video, for any industry or use case. But generative AI has ushered in a new era of video ad production, and we’re at the forefront of that evolution with QuickFrame AI beta, a tool that makes producing studio-quality video creative more attainable, affordable, and scalable than ever.

QuickFrame AI beta isn’t just a new shiny AI video generator in a marketer’s toolbox. It’s your on-demand creative collaborator; the one that’s always awake, always caffeinated, and always ready to turn “what ifs” into “oh sweet, that actually works.”

But every great collaboration needs direction — and that direction comes from clever, curious, creative humans like you. When you can channel your innate creativity with the power of a tool like QuickFrame AI beta, you won’t just make ads that look good and that people will actually feel, too.

Before you jump in and start playing around, let’s take a look at the ins and outs of QF AI beta, and how you can get the most out of the platform today.

How QuickFrame AI Beta Works

People like to describe AI as if it is a toy — but it isn’t. It had a goofy start (remember those cursed AI-generated hands?), but it’s since leveled up into something way more serious: a permanent addition to the ways in which we create.

Step 1: Build Your Brand Profile

Just enter your URL and our tech will automatically scrape your website to build a brand profile for you, pulling in everything from your general vibe to specific logos, colors, fonts, and product imagery. You can also upload special logos, taglines, or visuals to further customize your profile.

Step 2: Pick Your Style

  1. Generate with Styles: We highly recommend starting here to get a feel for the platform. Start creating in seconds with our gallery of hand-crafted Styles. This is a great option for those new to video AI or who simply want to fast-track production. Think of Styles as templates for how you want your ads to look and feel, from general tone and cinematography, to pacing, music, and voice over. And if you have a back-of-the-napkin idea (or something more fully fleshed out) you can include it as a prompt to get a more customized option instantly.
  2. Create Your Own Style: If you’re comfortable with video AI and/or prompt engineering, this option gives you total control over the look and feel of your video. With precision prompting (more on that in a minute) you can customize everything from mood and characters to setting and dialogue, right down to whether your soundtrack has an indie pop feel or Hans Zimmer score vibes. Basically, if you can name it, you can prompt it with QF AI beta.

Pro Tip: QuickFrame AI includes cinematography controls for things like camera movement, shot composition, and lighting. That means you often don’t need to “prompt-engineer” how the camera moves or how the shot should be lit. Use those controls to establish the cinematic feel, and then add prompts to shape what’s happening in the moment.

Step 3: Hit Generate

Whether you use one of our Styles or create your own, QF AI beta will combine it with your profile and prompt details to quickly generate a studio-quality video ad, tailor-made for your brand. Behind the scenes, our tech orchestrates best-in-class partners across various creative components, like:

  • Video Generation: Google VEO, Imagen
  • Visual Refinement: Stability AI
  • Audio Tracks: SoundLabs, Shutterstock Music
  • Voiceover: WellSaid Labs, ElevenLabs

Step 4: Refine with Prompts

Once your ad is generated, you can fine-tune every scene with prompts: replace scenes, swap characters, change the dialogue, shift the tone, insert your tagline, or make the pacing snappier. You can also adjust the voiceover, add logos, on-screen text, and more.

For turnkey refinements, you can regenerate scenes using the Generate workflow, choosing one of three starting points:

  • Generate from Text: Describe what you want to see.
  • Generate from Frame: Animate an existing image as your base.
  • Generate from Subjects: Create saved Characters, Products, and Locations/Settings for continuity (more on this in a second).

Step 5: Publish!

It all happens fast: the average time to generate a 30-second TV ad is 90 seconds, with most projects going from prompt to publish in about 12 minutes. To date, QF AI beta has already powered over 18,000 ad generations and counting. And when you’re ready, you can publish directly to MNTN, Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads Manager.

Double Clicking Into Subjects

If you care about on-brand consistency across multiple scenes or versions, Generate from Subjects should be your default. Think of Subjects like your in-house continuity department. They let you save and reuse the core elements of your creative — who we see (Characters), what we feature (Products), and where it happens (Locations/Settings) — so you’re not rebuilding them from scratch every time you generate.

Once your Subjects are set, your prompts can focus on what actually changes: the action, the story beat, and the audio.

Here’s a quick primer on how to use Subjects:

Start by clicking into the scene you want to update. Then click Generate from Subjects. This opens your image library.

If you’re new to the platform, you probably won’t have any Subjects ready to go yet — which is totally fine. Click Add New in the bottom-left corner of the pop-up to create your first ones. You can choose:

  • Character
  • Product
  • Location

Let’s get into how to use each type.

1. Generate a Character

When you create a Character, you’ve got two options:

Option A: Generate from an image: Choose an image that’s already in your library, or upload a new one.

Option B: Generate from a text prompt: Describe your character down to the minute details — expression, age, clothing, physicality, and anything else you can think of. The more clearly you describe the person you want on screen, the easier it is to get a character that matches your vision.

2. Generate a Product

Subjects give you a couple different ways to build a strong product visual.

Option A (default): Scrape a URL: QuickFrame AI will default to generating a product by scraping a URL — and this can be a product page from your own site or a listing from Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, and other ecommerce platforms. The platform will automatically extract product details and images.

Option B: Generate from an image: If you generate from an image, make sure you include:

  • A name for your product
  • A short description

3. Generate a Location

Locations work a lot like Characters.

Option A: Generate from an image: Pick an existing image from your library, or upload a new one.

Option B: Generate from a text prompt: Describe your location like a director would: setting, mood, lighting, time of day, and even the weather. You’re essentially “casting” the environment your ad will live in.

4. Apply Your Subjects, Then Prompt the Scene

Once you’re happy with the result, click Save to Library and then apply it into the video you’re working on, or a whole new scene. Then add a prompt that describes what’s happening in the shot — the action, the context, and any dialogue or sound cues you want.

And the best part: your Subjects stay saved, so you can reuse them again and again. This will make it easier to scale your output while keeping everything consistent and on-brand.

The Creative Building Blocks of AI Video Prompting

If there’s one thing people already know about AI, it’s prompting. It’s the core mechanic behind tools like ChatGPT and Claude. You don’t have to be a prompt engineer to know how to type in a simple request, and have the tool deliver what you asked for.

The same basic principles apply to prompting a video AI tool — except you get a lot more fun stuff to play with.

Marketers know a good story when they see one, but knowing how to build a good story is a totally different, well, story. Whether it’s for an ad or a TV show, every story needs certain components to turn a raw idea into an engaging narrative. Think of those components as the building blocks for the prompts you use to generate scenes, and Subjects.

Let’s walk through the five major building blocks to keep in mind when writing prompts:

1. Tone Modifiers

These help set the emotional vibe — the undercurrent of feeling your ad conveys. Choose a tone that aligns closely with your brand personality. Tone influences everything from visuals to pacing and music, so the more specific you can be, the better. Think of words like “aspirational, triumphant”, “cheeky, self-aware”, or “warm, reassuring”.

Example prompts for this building block:

  • “Use a warm, optimistic tone that feels encouraging and genuine.”
  • “Give it a witty, tongue-in-cheek attitude with quick pacing and playful narration.”

2. Character Attributes

These define who we see on screen and what kind of people (or personalities) carry your message. They make your ad feel targeted, authentic, and relatable. When generating a character Subject, consider everything that gives your on-screen talent depth: personality, clothes, emotional state, presence. Think of words like: “frustrated Gen Z gamer roommates,” “cool middle-aged dad in casual clothes,” or “energetic red-haired barista wearing a green apron”.

Example prompts for this building block:

  • “Cast a stylish spokesperson in a navy suit with a polished, professional demeanor.”
  • “Show a middle-aged dad in jeans and a T-shirt speaking with calm authority.”

3. Dialogue & Voiceover

These shape what’s being said and how it’s delivered. It covers not only the words and tone but also the rhythm, accent, and vocal qualities that make your message stick. The right delivery can turn information into emotion, helping viewers connect on a more human level, so don’t be afraid to get granular. Think of words like “conversational with no buzzwords,” “corporate, but witty”, or “Fast-paced dialogue that is sincere”.

Example prompts for this building block:

  • “Write conversational banter between two coworkers with a light, humorous tone. One will say ‘No way!, and the other will respond, ‘Yes way!’”
  • “Use a clear, steady female voiceover with friendly, natural pacing.”

4. Visual Style & Setting

Visual style and setting determine how your ad looks, and where it unfolds. Think: “NYC subway platform at morning rush,” “golden-hour suburban backyard,” “cozy kitchen during Sunday dinner.” Subjects make it easy to create consistent locations you can use across scenes (or spots). This way your environment stays consistent even as you iterate on story beats.

Example prompts for this building block:

  • “A street scene with large skyscrapers that go as far as the eye can see.”
  • “An outdoor picnic table in a park with an airy, relaxed atmosphere.”

5. Pacing & Rhythm

These set the tempo of your story, influencing how quickly scenes move and how your ad feels overall. It’s what keeps audiences engaged from the first to last frame. A fast pace builds excitement; a slower rhythm creates space for emotion and reflection. Think of words like “fast and punchy”, “steady and contemplative”, or “gradually build rhythm to the end card”.

Example prompts for this building block:

  • “Use quick cuts between shots to build energy and urgency.”
  • “Keep a slow, deliberate rhythm that allows emotional beats to land.”

If you nail these six building blocks — and you use Subjects to lock continuity — you’ll already be miles ahead of the competition.

Using Prompts to Refine QuickFrame AI Beta Styles

Now the fun part: using QF AI beta’s Styles as springboards for your video ad. There is a buffet of Styles to choose from, each with its own distinct flavor you can infuse into your ad. With Subjects (and the above building blocks) you can customize those Styles and steer QuickFrame AI toward exactly what you actually had in mind.

To give you a taste of what’s possible, below are three Styles you can find in QuickFrame AI beta, along with ideas for how to use the creative building blocks to customize each.

Urban Athletes

Energetic, focused, and pulsing with collective drive, Urban Athletes channels the rhythm of ambition and the beauty of motion.

Let’s pretend for a second that you are a coffee company who wants to use this Style. Here’s an example of a prompt you could give that stitches together all of the building blocks:

The ad should show young professionals, marketers, and executives in corporate attire treating their morning coffee run like a race — sprinting through city streets, running for trains, grabbing lattes mid-stride, and smiling as they power walk into work, coffee cup in hand. Set the tone as high-energy, motivational, and playful, with quick pacing and confident visuals. Use fast cuts and rhythmic editing to match the tempo of an upbeat, percussive soundtrack. Highlight key visuals: steaming mugs, sneakers on pavement, coffee pouring in slow motion, sunlight hitting buildings. Focus every shot on motion, energy, and clarity so the viewer instantly feels the rush of that first caffeine hit. Add playful, snappy dialogue like “One sip and I’m in sprint mode.” End with a bold tagline delivered by voiceover and on-screen text: “Power your hustle — one cup at a time.”

Block Party Vibes

Bright, welcoming, and full of genuine warmth, Block Party Vibes celebrates connection and community at its most human.

Let’s pretend for a second that you are a cosmetics brand who wants to use this Style. Here’s an example of a prompt you could give that stitches together all of the building blocks:

The ad should show locals in a neighborhood and beauty influencers gathered outdoors at golden hour, laughing, chatting, and demonstrating a new line of skincare products. Capture the mood as warm, friendly, and lightly glamorous, with sunlight that accentuates glowing skin, natural beauty, and effortless style. Feature diverse characters of different ages and looks, each showing off their natural glow while taking selfies and casually complimenting one another with dialogue like “Your glow is unreal — what’s your secret?” Keep the pacing relaxed and graceful, using soft camera pans and smooth, easy cuts that mirror the rhythm of friendly conversation. Highlight key visuals: sunlight on skin, laughter between friends, and close-ups of skincare being applied. End with a confident voiceover and on-screen tagline: “Beauty shines brighter together.”

Shared Horizon

Cinematic, reflective, and full of quiet wonder, Shared Horizon captures the magic of adventure and the beauty of new beginnings.

Let’s pretend for a second that you are a B2B finance brand who wants to use this Style. Here’s an example of a prompt you could give that stitches together all of the building blocks:

The ad should show two business partners in gray suits standing on a city rooftop at sunrise, positioned against the skyline as golden light reflects off nearby buildings. Capture the tone as inspiring yet pragmatic — calm, confident, and rooted in trust. Highlight warm sunlight and soft reflections that evoke feelings of optimism, showing the two characters exchanging thoughtful conversation about partnership and financial progress, with a key line like “With the right tools, we’re ready for the next big step.” Keep the pacing smooth and deliberate, using measured camera movements and slow, cinematic transitions that mirror the stillness of dawn. End with a voiceover and on-screen tagline: “See what’s possible with financial clarity.”
